In compliance with current regulations, users are informed that, since this is a boat rental service with a specific execution date, the 14-day right of withdrawal provided for distance contracts does not apply. Cancellations are governed by the following specific conditions:

1. Cancellation by the User (Refund Policy)

  • More than 10 days in advance: If the user cancels the reservation at least 10 days prior to the pick-up time (indicated in the order or, failing that, at 09:00 local time), 70% of the total reservation amount will be refunded.
  • Less than 10 days in advance: If the cancellation is made less than 10 days prior to pick-up, no refund will be issued.
  • Early departure: If the user decides to terminate the rental before the scheduled date for reasons unrelated to the vessel, the days or check-out time not enjoyed on board will not be refundable.

2. Cancellation due to Bad Weather (Meteorological Conditions) Safety on board is our priority. «Bad weather» will be considered when maritime authorities issue warnings that prevent safe navigation or when the skipper of Salvadoro determines that sea or wind conditions put passenger safety at risk.

The skipper will contact the reservation holder to evaluate the situation within 24 to 48 hours before departure. In the event of an inability to sail:

  • Rentals of 1 day or less: A date change will be offered. If this is not possible due to schedule or availability, 100% of the amount paid will be refunded.
  • Rentals of more than 1 day: A date change will be mutually agreed upon. If this is not possible due to scheduling reasons, a credit/voucher for the total contracted amount will be offered, valid for one (1) year. Note: If the client justifies the absolute impossibility of using the voucher (for example, due to residing abroad), the amount will be refunded, deducting duly justified administrative costs.

3. Technical Breakdown during the rental or Co-Navigation In the event that the Salvadoro catamaran suffers a serious mechanical breakdown that prevents its navigation and deprives the renter of the use and enjoyment of the boat, the following procedure will apply:

  • Rentals of more than one day: If the deprivation of use exceeds 23 consecutive hours, the renter will have the right to terminate the contract. In this case, Salvadoro will refund the proportional part (pro-rata) of the unused days within a maximum period of fifteen (15) days by bank transfer. No claims for other damages will be accepted.
  • Single-day rentals: The waiting period to resolve the breakdown is set at 2 hours. After this time, the renter may decide whether to cancel the service (receiving a proportional refund for the remaining time) or to continue on board once the breakdown is fixed, renouncing in the latter case to any subsequent claim or refund.

4. Force Majeure Force majeure causes will be understood as those unforeseeable and unavoidable events that prevent the execution of the contract, such as:

  • Official weather bulletins and Maritime Captaincy alerts expressly prohibiting putting out to sea.
  • Legislative or governmental modifications or mobility restrictions that prevent the service.
  • Natural disasters, fires, war situations, terrorist acts, general strikes, or proven serious health problems.

In general, any event beyond the control and will of Salvadoro Catamarán. In these cases, the postponement of the service will be prioritized or, failing that, the termination of the contract without penalties for either party.
